Championing civic responsibility across India since 2018
The Weshe Foundation (Weshe Foundation) is a non-profit organization founded with the singular purpose of transforming India's urban civic culture. We believe that a clean, safe, and responsible society is not a distant dream — it is a practical reality that emerges when citizens are educated, empowered, and engaged.
Since our founding, Weshe Foundation has worked with schools, colleges, corporates, NGOs, and government bodies to deliver high-impact civic education programs across 8 states. Our interdisciplinary approach combines behavioral psychology, urban planning insights, and community organizing to create lasting civic change.
"Civic sense is not inherited — it is cultivated. Every citizen, given the right awareness and environment, can become a responsible steward of the shared spaces we all depend on."
An India where every citizen, regardless of background, actively contributes to the social, environmental, and civic well-being of their community — where civic responsibility is as natural as breathing.
To design and deliver evidence-based civic education programs that reach schools, communities, and workplaces — creating measurable shifts in behavior, awareness, and civic participation across urban India.
Five principles that guide every program, partnership, and decision at Weshe Foundation.
We hold ourselves and our partners accountable to the communities we serve. Every commitment we make is backed by measurable outcomes and transparent reporting.
We honor the dignity of every individual — student, volunteer, or community member. Respectful engagement is at the heart of all our programs.
Our programs are designed for lasting change, not quick fixes. We embed civic habits through repeated, reinforced learning that persists long after our engagement ends.
Civic change is not top-down. We facilitate grassroots participation, ensuring communities drive their own transformation with our support.
We maintain the highest standards of honesty and transparency — in our finances, our partnerships, and our impact reporting.
