When a leading IT firm partnered with Weshe Foundation for a civic awareness drive in Gurugram, the results surprised everyone — including us.

When Corporate India Steps Up for Civic Change

In early 2026, Weshe Foundation partnered with a leading IT corporation to conduct a month-long civic awareness campaign across three sectors of Gurugram. What began as a CSR compliance exercise evolved into a genuine community transformation story.

The Challenge

Gurugram, despite being one of India's most developed corporate hubs, faced persistent civic issues — littering in public spaces, traffic violations near office complexes, and poor waste segregation in residential colonies adjacent to IT parks.

The Intervention

The Weshe Foundation team deployed 20 civic ambassadors across the target areas, conducting awareness sessions, organizing clean-up drives, and installing interactive civic information kiosks sponsored by the corporate partner.

The Results

After 30 days: 40% reduction in visible littering in target areas, 12 residential welfare associations trained in waste segregation, and over 5,000 citizens engaged directly. The corporate partner reported high employee satisfaction with the CSR initiative and committed to a year-long partnership.
